Stall Holders Guide

When you have completed your registration details and opened your chosen Stall, check all your items for listing, and arrange your item’s photos in the order you want them to be seen on your Stall.

Your Stall Holders management control panel allows you access to upload your items, set your own prices, postage and returns policy’s, plus any discounts and additional services you wish to offer, keep track of your customer sales with your own messenger service, invoice purchase’s and email so you and your customers can keep in touch with ease.

Remember Allstalls is not an auction site, the price you set is the price paid, your customers buy directly from you, and you ship your items directly to them.

So all your selling is an enjoyable experience with us, our own dedicated support centre is there to ensure that your Stalls always receive our best customer service.

Plus you can be safe in the knowledge that you and your customers details and payments are fully protected with our Go Daddy web server secure certificate and Pay Pal’s secure payment system.

Also please be aware there are certain products and services that you cannot sell or offer by UK law and a full list can be found in our FAQs.

NOW THE IMPORTANT BIT…   HOW YOU GET PAID.

When your shopper’s have completed their purchase from your Stall an automatic Email is generated informing you of your sale, a merchant / sellers invoice will automatically be sent to your buyer’s which will show your details a long with theirs.

On receipt of this email, you can forward your goods or services to your customer’s through your agreed carriage details or buyer to collect policy.

All monies form your sales are then placed in to a dedicated holding account for 7 days, this will allow time for all sales and returns to clear, after 7 days your monies are then forwarded to your accounts and for every 7 days for as long as you continue sell.

Goods returned to you within 7 days, in the condition in which they had been dispatched, please email allstalls and a full refund will be issued to your shoppers via the allstalls holding account.

Any items returned to you after 7 days, your customer must then refer to your own refunds and returns policy’s listed in your Stalls.

And just to remind you, your customers refunds should now include all their initial postage costs.

All postage costs for items returned to you will be met by the customer and not you the Stall Holder.

Please note allstalls does not take any commission fees from any of your postage charges.

Safe Selling Tips.

If you are selling a larger item or using a buyer to collect policy, before handing your goods over it is best to ask for payment in full first, either in Cash, Bankers Draft or Credit Card, and Remember, sometimes (particularly with overseas payments) a Cheque payment could still be withdrawn by the Bank even after it has cleared, talk to your bank for more information on this practice.

If you are being paid cash, study the notes for signs of counterfeit by feeling the paper, studying the printing, checking the watermark and the metallic thread. More information on checking for counterfeit money is available at The Bank of England website

Stall Holders Never proceed if a buyer is offering you too much money, then asking you to refund the difference to his business partner or friend, don’t get caught out, this is a scam.

just a few tips to on how to present your items to best effect…

The Background

It’s important that when you photograph your items that there’s nothing’s in the background that would distract from your product. Additionally, make sure it is well lite and shadows are kept to a minimum, that way your product will look more attractive with no distractions.

Be care when photographing shiny objects

Photographing shiny objects can be a bit hit and miss, items such as wine bottles or anything with a reflective surface will reflect ‘spots’ of light, therefore spots need to be shaded. Usually professional studios use a white umbrella, which allows the light through but removes the bright spot, i.e., it diffuses the spots of light. It’s probably safe to assume you don’t have a white umbrella, so a sheet of white paper or card positioned behind the camera will work a treat. Other solutions are: • Use bright ambient light from above/behind. • Do not use direct sunlight. As most people do not have access to professional studio lighting, the best lighting conditions are: • A sunny day • A bright cloudy day • Near a window, but not in direct sunlight. When you’ve taken your photo the chances are that you’ll have used a camera with at least 5-6 megapixel. This will be far too large to upload to Allstall.net. So you’ll have to reduce this picture down to a minimum of 800 x 600 pixels at 72 dpi (dots per inch), remember with large files upload times will take longer, we have found that a file size of between 70 and 150Kb is ideal. You can reduce your picture’s size in Microsoft Office applications, by inserting the picture into Microsoft Word and using the format picture tool bar.
